Surveillance, Religion and Security Workshop

Call for Papers

The Surveillance & Religion Network will hold a AHRC funded workshop to explore religion as an object of surveillance on 17th-19th of October 2016 in Birmingham, UK. The aim of this workshop is to facilitate dialogue amongst academic researchers, faith practitioners, and other stakeholders with a view to better understanding the issues arising now, and likely to be so in the immediate future. Places are limited for this subsidised event. There is no registration fee but participants must apply for a place. Refreshments and lunch will be provided but accommodation and dinner is arranged by participants at their own expense. Some funds are available to support doctoral students and early career researchers with travel costs. Proposals for papers (20 min duration) are due by 1 July 2016. Please send your abstract and title (no more than 300 words) along with contact details and brief biographical information to Dr Eric Stoddart es61@st-andrews.ac.uk.
