Professor William Webster, with Professor Albert Meijer, have recently published a special issue of the journal Information Polity (Vol.24, No.3) on ‘Governing smart cities’. The special issue takes a critical look at some of the emergent governance issues in smart city environments. The issue places significance on social, institutional and historical contexts alongside technological issues and features research from the SmartGov research project.
